My first ceramic bell is fired!
I like the shape, the contrast of very rough and shiny glazed surfaces.
What glaze does with the high temperature in the kiln is out of my control - The details on the face is not very visible. it is not perfect but I am happy with this blue bell. :) It makes nice sounds as well.
I think I will make several in the same shape in coming weeks. I like the way it looks like a sculpture or a character and at the same time it is functional. "Dinner time~!"
The other ceramic piece here was also made as a bell with a ceramic ball to roll inside. Somehow the ball got stuck somewhere inside so no sounds :( Many trials and errors...
